The National Recruitment Federation (NRF) in partnership with the Cork Chamber is delighted to announce details of its annual seminar which will take place on Thursday 19th April from 5-7pm in the Clayton Hotel, Cork City.

This year the Seminar will look at the significance of the “Future of Work” and the impact it will have on businesses today. Global trends in the Recruitment Industry will be explored and how the dynamic nature of attracting and sourcing talent is changing rapidly and significantly.
At this event, you will hear from industry experts including Peter Cosgrove, Founder of The Future of Work Institute, Susan Manning, Partner, The People Practice, and Edward Heffernan NRF Treasurer.

The National Recruitment Federation are delighted to announce that we will hold our first NRF Skillnets course which will be an Introduction to Employment Law.  The trainer for this course will be Mary Seery Kearney Barrister at Law.

     The content will include:

  •         Data protection
  •         Unfair dismissal
  •         Right to Work
  • ·       Temp maternity leave
  •         Conditions of employment

The course will take place on Monday 5th March from 9am -5pm at the Dublin Chamber of Commerce, Clare Street Dublin. 

The course will be part funded by Skillnets therefore the price to NRF members will be €50.00 per person.

Invitation to Register for the World Employment Conference 2018 in Dublin.

Hosted by the National Recruitment Federation and the World Employment Confederation, the World Employment Conference takes place from the 6th to the 8th June 2018 in the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin. The NRF has been asked by a number of you to provide guidance on the changes and what they should be aware of with the Companies Act 2014.The Act commenced on June 1st so the 18 month transition period has now begun. During this time, companies should take steps to ensure compliance with the Act. The Act has been in development for over a decade and passed through the Houses of the Oireachtas in December 2014.

NRF partner and Associate member Gary Irwin Solicitors will host the Breakfast Briefing and the speaker will be Robert McGarr BL.  While Robert will be looking at the top ten changes you need to be aware of he is also open to accepting questions or concerns from you if you wish to forward them to me and he will include them in the presentation.
